Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant Site Loses Power After Strike

Gate News message, April 15 — The city of Enerhodar, home to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, lost electricity on April 15 following a strike attributed to Ukrainian forces, according to Mayor Dmytro Orlov. Critical infrastructure and social facilities have been switched to backup diesel generators.

Orlov stated that fuel reserves are sufficient and power workers are operating around the clock to restore electricity supply. Ukrainian authorities have not yet responded to the incident.
