ZachXBT Reveals Crypto Scam Network on X Platform: Over 10 Accounts Manipulate Emotions to Harvest Funds, Profits Exceed Six Figures

Gate News reports that on March 23, on-chain investigator ZachXBT revealed a coordinated network of over a dozen accounts operating on the X platform. This network is creating panic related to war and politics to divert attention to cryptocurrency scams, resulting in actual financial losses.

According to ZachXBT’s investigation, these manipulators typically first acquire high-following accounts, such as @wanglaurentceo, then use AI-generated content to impersonate well-known crypto influencers (similar to Mario Nawfal), continuously posting exaggerated or misleading information. They amplify their influence by having multiple small accounts repost the content, allowing a single post to reach millions of views and generate significant engagement.

After accumulating traffic, the network embeds fake airdrops, giveaway events, and “pump and dump” scam links to lure users into participation. On-chain data shows that on February 22, 2026, after aggressively promoting the $ORAMAMA project, the group quickly withdrew, but the related addresses had already earned six-figure profits, demonstrating typical short-term harvesting behavior.

Additionally, these accounts frequently change usernames or clear their history to avoid detection. Many large accounts passively participate in spreading the scams through comments and quotes, further expanding the scam’s reach. ZachXBT揭露X平台加密骗局网络 (Source: X) ZachXBT warns that with the advancement of AI-generated content and social media manipulation techniques, crypto scams are becoming more scalable. Users should carefully verify account history, interaction patterns, and on-chain data before participating in any crypto activities to prevent potential risks.
