U.S. Navy Intercepts Iranian-Flagged Vessel Heading to Iran Port as Blockade Continues

Gate News message, April 25 — The U.S. Central Command announced on April 24 that one of its guided-missile destroyers conducting a port blockade mission intercepted an Iranian-flagged vessel attempting to enter an Iranian port.

President Trump declared on April 13 that the U.S. would implement a blockade on all ships entering or leaving Iranian ports, effective April 13 at 10 a.m. ET. Iran has characterized the U.S. blockade as an act of war and a violation of ceasefire agreements.
