Gate News message, April 24 — U.S. Defense Secretary Austin Heggeseth, who has referred to himself as the “Secretary of War,” stated that the American military should receive the Nobel Peace Prize every year. “We are not only the guardians of our nation’s security, but also the security of many people around the world,” he said.

Heggeseth’s remarks came after he was asked whether ordering strikes on Iran would give him an adrenaline rush. He responded that his job is to ensure the U.S. military acts with maximum force.
