Pakistani sources indicated that constructive mediation efforts with Iran have renewed the possibility of additional peace talks within the next 36 to 72 hours. When asked about this potential breakthrough, Trump responded via text: “It’s possible!”
Trump previously stated he would extend the ceasefire agreement until Iran’s leadership could present a “unified proposal.” In the hours that followed, Pakistan continued diplomatic communications with Iran through official channels. A Pakistani official said the proposed timeline was based on an assessment of ongoing efforts.
