Trump has expressed dissatisfaction with Commerce Secretary Lutnick and others, or may carry out a major cabinet reshuffle

GateNews

Gate News report: On April 3, according to the latest reports, President Trump expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction with Commerce Secretary Lutnick and Labor Secretary Dremer, and is considering further changes to the Cabinet. A government official said, “He is extremely angry and will make personnel adjustments.”

Earlier, both U.S. Attorney General Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Noam were removed from their posts in succession. U.S. officials said Dremer’s future is under discussion, and Lutnick’s situation is also precarious. While no final decision has been made on whether to keep or remove the two, sources said Trump had previously considered firing them but did not carry it out.

If broader, large-scale changes are made, it would be a major reorganization of the U.S. federal government. The adjustments would mainly target Cabinet members who “are underperforming or have attracted too much negative attention.” If Commerce Secretary Lutnick were dismissed, it could help signal that Trump on economic issues is “making changes.”

A White House spokesperson said the two “have done an excellent job and continue to receive the President’s full support.”
