Gate News message, April 23 — Ryt Bank, a Malaysian fintech company offering the Ryt Card and Ryt PayLater, announced it has integrated its buy now, pay later service into the Ryt Card for QR code, online, and in-store payments. The update extends Ryt PayLater functionality from DuitNow QR payments to card transactions on Visa’s network, which reaches over 150 million merchants globally.
The Ryt PayLater service allows users to choose between immediate payment or deferred payment across local QR and card transactions, with a maximum limit of 1,499 Malaysian ringgit (approximately $380 USD). Ryt Bank stated it is among the first providers in Malaysia to link this option with a debit card. The limit sits just below the 1,500 ringgit threshold set by Bank Negara Malaysia, which requires tighter affordability checks for buy now, pay later products from regulated financial service providers.
