Trump said that U.S. military operations in Iran could end within two to three weeks, while Iran’s President Pezeshkian said that if certain conditions are met, Tehran has the “necessary willingness to end the war.” However, it is still unclear whether the Strait of Hormuz will reopen. Pesole said: “We believe the U.S. dollar index DXY (a measure of the dollar’s strength versus a basket of currencies) could only fall back to the low of 99.0 on March 23 once the timeline and pathway for restarting the strait are clearer.”
