Elon Musk specifically named OpenAI Chairman Bret Taylor, saying that during the Twitter acquisition negotiations, the management was "crazy left-wing."

GateNews

Gate News reports that on March 9, Elon Musk posted that the management team before Twitter was acquired was called the “lunatic left,” likening them to Wormtongue, the manipulative character in “The Lord of the Rings.” He said, “Firing Jack is the last straw; he was the last bastion.” He then specifically mentioned, “Now Bret Taylor is the Chairman of OpenAI…” It is understood that Bret Taylor, Chairman of the OpenAI board, previously served as Chairman of Twitter’s board and led negotiations with Musk during Twitter’s acquisition in 2022. Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey resigned as CEO in November 2021 and stepped down from the board in May 2022. After turmoil in the OpenAI board in November 2023, Taylor was appointed as the new chairman and has held the position since.
