Gate News bot message, billionaire Tim Draper compared BTC (BTC) to ‘the Microsoft of the operating era’ in a social media post X. He said that programmers now ‘tend to’ dominate the market like Block does, just as Microsoft Excel did to prevent Lotus 1-2-3 from dominating the spreadsheet market.
Draper pointed out that Microsoft’s word processing software also replaced WordPerfect, and PowerPoint became the preferred presentation software after being acquired by Microsoft.
He believes that applications such as smart contracts, oracles, and decentralized finance are shifting towards BTC, indicating that innovations from other cryptocurrencies are being adopted by mainstream Blockchains. ‘Smart entrepreneurs are always building on the most attractive (tractive) platforms,’ Draper asserts. ‘And that platform is BTC.’
