Christmas is a wonderful time to reunite with family and enjoy happiness; however, for many impoverished children, this special day often lacks the warmth and joy of receiving gifts that it should have.
On Christmas Eve (December 21, 2024), Gate Charity teamed up with the Lions Club in Cotonou, Benin, to host a memorable "Christmas Fun Day" event for over 250 orphans living in hardship in Cotonou. The event aimed to spread happiness, promote inclusivity, strengthen community bonds, and bring much-missed joy, hope, and a festive Christmas atmosphere to the children.
This warm-hearted event features many creative segments, including entertainment games, singing and dancing talent shows, circus performances, and a "visiting Santa Claus", while also providing nutritious and delicious meals to ensure that all children have the energy to fully enjoy their happy time.
The event culminates with the arrival of Santa Claus, who distributes gifts to all the children, adding a magical and warm touch to the celebration.
