Over Protocol Shuts Down Operations Due to Funding Shortage

Gate News message, April 29 — The Over Foundation announced it has halted all infrastructure and services for Over Protocol, including OverWallet, OverNode, OverFlex, RPC endpoints, block explorer, and API, due to insufficient funding. There are no plans to resume operations.

While Over Protocol was designed as a decentralized Layer 1 mainnet, the foundation noted that with its services discontinued, the chain will likely be unable to continue operating in practice. Block generation will depend on whether independent validators run the open-source client software, which the foundation cannot guide or guarantee.
