According to U.S. Secretary of State Rubio on May 6, the U.S. announced the end of military operations against Iran and suspended the ‘Freedom of Navigation’ shipping plan in the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. aims to establish a secure transit corridor supported by naval and air forces to restore shipping capacity. Trump stated on social media that the suspension is temporary pending progress on a comprehensive agreement with Iran.
