FIU Appeals First-Instance Defeat in Dunamu Dispute Over 3-Month Business Suspension

According to court records, South Korea’s Financial Information Analysis Institute (FIU) filed an appeal on April 30 against a first-instance ruling in which the Seoul Administrative Court had overturned its three-month business suspension imposed on Dunamu. The court ruled on April 9 that the FIU’s penalty—issued in February 2025 for alleged violations of the Specific Financial Information Act—was unlawful and lacked sufficient grounds, siding with the cryptocurrency exchange.
