The endpoint of trading is obsession; technique has limits, but mindset does not. During subsequent trading, I discovered a fundamental issue: I was too fixated on a specific position, which prevented me from executing it well. Later, I calmed down and studied this "obsession," discovering that when people know something will benefit them, they develop attachment to it. To overcome this emotional state, I started with myself. Because I lacked love since childhood, I harbored fantasies about relationships. So I entered relationships based on emotion. I would interact with different people, and to achieve optimal results, I would fixate on one good quality in the other person. As contact time increased, I began testing: if I left her now, would she come back looking for me? Initially, the answer was yes—I did go back, because the obsession remained. As I repeated this experiment, I discovered a pattern: every time I went back, it was because I had too much free time or nothing else to do. After reaching this conclusion, I reflected on the nature of obsession and realized that people don't develop obsessions when they have everything they need—even if someone leaves. However, when you have nothing, you have plenty of time to reflect on past moments and blame yourself for things beyond your control. After gaining deep understanding of this, I began reflecting on trading. I discovered that because I was fixated on proving myself, on acquiring wealth, I operated at positions where I shouldn't have. I was obsessed with win rates and risk-reward ratios. Only after seeing through the nature of obsession did I stop chasing illusions and ceased caring about others' judgments. I began living my own life and discovered that life is simply this: if the masses accept something, it's right; if they don't, it's because there aren't enough people. When numbers become sufficient, I could defecate on the street because everyone accepts it—all recognize it. Conversely, when no one accepts something, it's wrong. So I stopped chasing illusions and understood that this world has no absolute right or wrong. Obsession is merely being unable to let go of what you think is good for you. The world has no inherent right or wrong—say it enough times and it becomes right or wrong. The world has no inherent definition—define it enough times and it becomes definition. The world has no inherent obsession—fail to obtain what you're attached to and it becomes obsession. I stopped and began living my own life well. No one can define your life. There is no obsession you cannot let go of. Trading begins with obsession and ends with obsession, until one day you discover that obsession has helped you understand many things but also prevented you from seeing many things clearly.
