One-vote margin! Trump’s war powers are fully unleashed—now the Middle East is even more dangerous

On April 16, the U.S. House of Representatives narrowly rejected a Democratic bill to limit Trump’s war powers, with 214 votes in favor and 213 votes against. The day before that, the bill had already been rejected in the Senate.

This means Trump can continue military action against Iran without being constrained by Congress, and any future escalation will not require advance authorization from Congress. Democrats said they will not give up, and will keep introducing similar bills until the fighting ends or Congress officially authorizes war.
$BASED
Under the U.S. Constitution, only Congress has the power to declare war, and the president can only carry out limited military action in an emergency when the homeland is under attack, without authorization. But the consecutive rejection of the restriction bills by both chambers is effectively giving Trump a “green light” for his Middle East military actions.
$ORDI
Judging from the earlier drama in which U.S. forces expanded their maritime blockade of Iran and the Lebanon–Israel ceasefire instantly turned into airstrikes, uncertainty in the Middle East is rapidly skyrocketing. Geopolitical safe-haven sentiment will continue to build, and the volatility of assets such as crude oil, gold, and Bitcoin will most likely be further amplified.
