Ministry of Commerce: The UK Launches Anti-Absorption Investigation into Excavators from China

According to a statement from the Ministry of Commerce, on March 30, 2026, the UK Trade Remedies Authority issued an announcement deciding to initiate a countervailing duty (anti-subsidy) review investigation regarding the anti-dumping measures applicable to imported excavators (excavators) originating in China, in order to determine whether to maintain or adjust the current anti-dumping duty rates. In December 2024, following an investigation, the UK Trade Remedies Authority decided to impose interim anti-dumping measures on excavators from China, and in May 2025, the final ruling decided to levy anti-dumping duties ranging from 18.81% to 40.08%.
