I've noticed that many crypto beginners make the same mistake: they simply buy a coin and then wait, not knowing when to exit. They wait a week, they wait a month, and the coin goes up and down. This is where understanding that profit is not just a word, but a specific goal you set for every trade helps.

In essence, profit is your target profit in percent. You decide in advance: I’ll buy this coin and exit when I’ve earned so many percent. Not by eye, not when you feel like it, but based on calculations. This radically changes your trading approach.

Why is this important? Because without a clear profit target, you either get stuck in the coin for weeks, or you exit too early without waiting for a normal profit. With a profit target, you know for sure: this price—my exit. Your earnings become systematic instead of random.

How is it calculated? The formula is simple: the target price equals the entry price multiplied by one plus profit in percent divided by 100. It sounds complicated, but in practice it’s just that simple.

Say you bought a coin for 1.000 USDT and want 0.5% profit. Then the target price will be 1.000 × 1.005 = 1.005 USDT. Place a sell order at 1.005—and you’re done. Or another example: bought at 0.328, want 0.6% profit. We calculate: 0.328 × 1.006 = 0.330. You exit at 0.330.

Which profit should you choose? If you don’t want to get stuck—set 0.3–0.6%. If the coin jumps around a lot—then you can go for 0.7–1.0%. Above 1.5% is already risky; especially when the market isn’t growing, you might not even reach the target price.

There’s one important point—commission. On entry it’s about 0.1%, on exit it’s also 0.1%, for a total of 0.2%. That means profit should be at least 0.2% so you can at least break even. If you set 0.5%, then your net profit after the commission will be about 0.3%.

So what do you get in the end? Five trades with 0.5% profit each are more reliable and realistic than one attempt to earn 5% that you might never reach. Trading isn’t intuition—it’s math. Always calculate your profit before entering; don’t set it by guesswork.

Right now on the market, BTC is around 67.07K with a -0.15% move, ETH is around 2.04K minus 0.43%, and BNB is around 594 up 0.59%. There are conditions for microtrading with small profits—what matters is sticking to the system and not changing the rules on the fly.
