I just saw this news and I'm a bit surprised. The SEC has announced an investigation involving a foreign influencer—Kendra Lust—accused of promoting TRX without disclosing compensation. She has about 1.5 million followers and received $955 to post about TRX in 2021 but did not disclose it.
What’s unusual here is that Kendra Lust is also accused of receiving payments from Tron to write tweets, and there’s even a connection to a well-known adult website, which she also did not disclose as a financial relationship. Classic crypto advertising fraud.
Both Justin Sun (, the founder of Tron ), and Kendra Lust have not commented. But this clearly shows that the SEC is increasing its crackdown on crypto advertising, especially when influencers do not publicly disclose their financial ties. The market just needs more transparency; otherwise, similar incidents will happen again.
