I have just compiled a list of the best finance movies that everyone should watch at least once. Starting with The Big Short (2015) – this film really impresses with its easy-to-understand explanation of how a group of investors bet against the US mortgage market collapse.

If you want to gain a deeper understanding of the 2008 crisis, then Inside Job (2010) is a must-watch finance documentary. It delves into the true causes behind what happened, not just the surface but also the internal details.

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) offers a different perspective – it tells the story of a stockbroker living a life of wealth until everything falls apart due to crime, corruption, and involvement with the federal government. This film is quite wild but very captivating.

Another highly recommended documentary is Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (2005). It recounts how a major corporation was corrupted, engaged in illegal activities, and ultimately collapsed completely.

Wall Street (1987) is a classic film about a young, impatient broker willing to do anything to succeed, including illegal insider trading, until he encounters a ruthless and greedy corporate raider.

Finally, Too Big to Fail (2011) focuses on how Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson handled the 2008 financial crisis. It shows the difficult decisions leaders had to make during the crisis.

All these movies offer valuable lessons about greed, corruption, and how the financial system operates. If you're interested in the world of finance, they are all worth watching.
