Recent Industry Changes

1. Exchanges are starting to delist a large number of scam zombie coins, replaced by RWA stock tokens and precious metal trading assets, with trading volumes soaring to the top of exchange rankings.
2. Primary market financing has contracted, on-chain project quality has declined, and TGE (Token Generation Event) occurrences have decreased significantly.
3. The spot trading volume of scam coins has shrunk from $704.7 billion in January to $542 billion in March, a 23% decrease. If we consider the peak of coin trading, the decline could be around 50%.

Currently, leading CEXs are increasingly resembling compliant, all-in-one traditional brokerages (TradFi 2.0), offering one-stop asset allocation services from BTC to US stocks, US bonds, and gold for large funds, similar to Robinhood’s financial supermarket. However, these exchanges do not list real stocks yet; instead, they list derivatives of RWA.
CEX development tends to be conservative and traditional, and their ultimate competitors are traditional financial exchanges. This development direction is understandable because the main reserve assets of exchanges are currently Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoins, with stablecoins accounting for over 30%. The main reserve assets are not scam coins, even though scam coins previously provided significant profits.
