So apparently the andrew tate meme coin just went wild when news dropped that he and his brother actually left Romania. Like, DADDY token jumped 80% in a matter of hours, hitting $37.5M market cap before cooling off a bit. First time he's been allowed to travel internationally since his arrest back in 2022, which is kind of wild.
The whole thing is getting interesting because reports are saying the Trump administration actually pressured Romanian authorities to lift the travel ban. Financial Times and BBC both covering it. Romania's crime directorate confirmed they lifted the restrictions but the criminal cases are still ongoing, so it's not like he's in the clear or anything.
What's funny is how fast the andrew tate meme community reacted to this. DADDY was created as kind of a response to Iggy Azalea's MOTHER token, and Tate was pretty open about wanting to "flip it for the patriarchy" or whatever. The token already beat MOTHER back in June 2024, and now with this news cycle it's pumping again. Though I checked the current data and it's sitting around $5.61M market cap now with a 9.84% daily gain, so the initial spike definitely cooled.
The andrew tate meme saga continues I guess. Dude still has arrest warrants in the UK for other stuff and there's a tax evasion case, so this travel thing doesn't really solve his legal problems. But for the meme coin holders, it was definitely a moment to watch the charts.
