just realized twitter's first ever tweet hit its 20th anniversary this month lol. jack dorsey's "just setting up my twttr" from 2006 is basically a museum piece now - literally archived at the computer history museum and has a guinness world record.

what's wild is the nft version. someone actually paid $2.9 million for it back in 2021. like, think about what is nft when you see numbers like that - it's basically digital ownership of a historical moment. that tweet is genuinely an internet artifact at this point.

funny how twitter evolved though. from that first post to elon buying it, renaming it to X, then the whole merger with xai and spacex thing. now it's competing with bluesky and threads while still keeping its grip on tech circles. wild ride for a platform that started with a simple typo (twttr lol).
