Hey, if you're moving around CDMX today, better check where you're going because there are a lot of road closures today due to protests and blockades. As I understand it, the SSC reported 10 demonstrations and 2 marches, so the streets will be quite congested.
The closures start from 9 a.m. in areas like Tláhuac and Iztapalapa, and then at 10 a.m. there will be activity in Cuajimalpa, Downtown, and other neighborhoods. At noon, there will be gatherings at Tlaxcoaque and Plaza San Carlos, and in the afternoon, more blockages in Iztacalco and the City Center. If you're planning to pass through Río Churubusco, Pino Suárez, or Reforma, it's best to leave extra time.
In the evening, there are also marches at Parque Francisco I. Madero at 8 p.m. and at La Viga at 8:30 p.m. The recommendation is to carefully check your route and avoid those areas if possible, because the road closures in CDMX will cause heavy traffic all day. Is anyone else caught up in this or just me?
