Hey, I just found out that São Paulo has a lot more to offer than I thought. It’s not just the city with its museums and Paulista Avenue, but you also have beaches near São Paulo less than two hours away. Guarujá is an hour and a half away and is said to be quite lively, with huge beaches. If you want something more relaxing, Ilhabela is three hours away and has clear waters, perfect for resting. And if you’re into surfing, Maresias is four hours away with good waves and nightlife. Honestly, the nearby beaches of São Paulo are an interesting option for short getaways. What caught my attention is the connectivity. GOL flies from Buenos Aires with 3 or 4 daily flights to Guarulhos Airport, and during peak season, there are also connections from Córdoba, Rosario, and Mendoza. That makes traveling much easier if you’re coming from inland areas. Plus, the Smiles program allows you to pay with miles, cash, or a combination, so you have options. For those who prefer to stay in the city, there’s the São Paulo Museum of Art with its stunning brutalist architecture, lively Paulista Avenue, and shopping centers like Iguatemi with luxury brands. But honestly, what tempted me the most was the idea of combining urban life with São Paulo beaches on the same trip. It seems quite doable if you plan your days well. Has anyone already been and can tell me how the experience was?
