Did anyone else get confused about the date of Easter 2026? Like, it changes every year and nobody really knows when it’s actually going to be. So I found out that it’s actually April 5th, but only the Sunday is when we celebrate with those chocolate eggs and family lunch. The Holy Friday coming before (3rd of April) is the real holiday, Easter 2026 itself doesn’t count as a national holiday, just Friday.

But then the question is: why does it change every single year? I found it interesting that it’s not random. The date depends on the Church calendar, following the full moon and stuff. Basically, it always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon that comes after the March equinox. That’s why it varies.

For Christians, Easter 2026 marks the resurrection of Jesus, which happened three days after the crucifixion according to tradition. So there’s a logic behind this whole story of movable dates. Kinda curious when you stop to think about why things are the way they are, right?
