If you're on Pi Network and haven't completed Pi kyc verification yet, it's time to understand this process. Basically, Pi kyc is mandatory for those who want to transfer their mined coins to the mainnet and make real transactions. It may seem complicated, but it's actually quite simple if you know what to do.
First, the requirements: you need to be at least 18 years old, have a government-issued ID (passport is highly recommended), have mined Pi for at least 30 days, and have the front camera working for liveness verification. All of this takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
The process itself is straightforward. Open the Pi Network app, go to the Mainnet section, complete the checklist tasks until you reach the option to submit your Pi kyc application. Then select your country, choose the document type, take a clear photo of the front (and back if there is important information), fill out a form with your details, and take a selfie to confirm you're a real person. That's it.
Now, how long does it take? It can be from a few minutes to several months, depending on how many validators are reviewing your application. They charge 1 Pi coin for the process, which goes to the validators. To check your Pi kyc status, just go to your profile in the app or the checklist section of the Mainnet. If a green checkmark appears, you've passed.
One important thing: the validation system works with people who have already passed Pi kyc helping to review other applications. So two different validators will review your documents. If both approve, you pass. Since they are from your own country, it’s usually faster and less bureaucratic.
If your application is rejected, it’s usually because the photo quality of the document was poor or the face was not clear. In that case, you can try again. Tip: take the photo in landscape mode and with good lighting.
One last note: each country has its own rules and availability for Pi kyc, so what works for you might be different elsewhere. But overall, if you follow these steps and provide clear documents and accurate information, you should pass without any problem.
