Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives: U.S. military "will not conduct ground operations" in Iran

Reporters learned locally on March 25 that U.S. House Speaker Johnson said that the Iran war “is close to ending and its objectives have been achieved,” while also emphasizing that the buildup of U.S. forces in the Middle East is a warning to Iran, and adding that “there will be no ground combat.” It was recently revealed that the Trump administration is moving to increase ground combat forces in the Middle East. Marine Corps units 31 and 11, containing thousands of personnel, are already en route, and combat elements under the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division are also preparing to head to the Middle East.
