Japan measles cases surge, approximately three times higher than the same period last year.

People’s Finance Network, April 2—Japanese media reported on April 2 that, in recent weeks, the number of measles cases has been trending upward across multiple regions in Japan. This year, more than 150 confirmed cases have already been reported, about three times the number in the same period of 2025. Experts say measles is highly contagious, so efforts should be made to proactively take measures such as vaccination to prevent the outbreak from spreading. (Xinhua News Agency)
