Institution: Memory price increases disrupt the supply chain, with an estimated 7.3% annual decline in global mobile phone panel shipments by 2026.

According to TrendForce’s latest mobile panel survey by CINNO Research, because of shortages and price increases in memory modules—which account for a very large share of mobile costs—brands’ shipment plans for 2026 have been disrupted, further weakening panel shipment momentum. It is forecast that global mobile panel shipments in 2026 will be about 2.14 billion units, down about 7.3% from 2.31 billion units in 2025. This ends the growth cycle that began in 2023 and, for the first time, turns into a year-over-year decline. (Kechuangban Daily)
