Golden Finance reports that on April 2, the “Qingming Festival” coincides with the Western “Easter” holiday, and financial markets in many regions are about to enter a market-closure mode. On April 3 (tomorrow), stock markets including those in Europe and the U.S., Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Australia will be closed for one day; the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) will have no trading all day for its precious metals and WTI and other oil futures, while FX, U.S. stock index futures, and U.S. Treasury futures will close early; the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) will have no trading all day for Brent crude futures. The Shanghai Gold Exchange, the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, and the Dalian Commodity Exchange will not hold night trading. Financial market holidays in many regions continue through next Monday, while the Hong Kong market’s holiday continues through next Tuesday. The U.S. market will open normally next Monday.
