13 April, Trump and the U.S. Central Command issued different statements regarding the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, with the official U.S. military statement being more restrained, targeting only Iranian ports rather than the entire Strait of Hormuz.

Yesterday, Trump stated that the U.S. Navy would blockade the Strait of Hormuz, intercepting all ships paying tolls to Iran.

The U.S. Central Command issued a notice stating that U.S. Central Command forces will begin implementing a maritime traffic blockade of all ships entering or leaving Iranian ports at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on April 13 (10 p.m. Beijing time today). All ships entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas (including all Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman) will be treated equally. Central Command forces will not hinder the freedom of navigation of ships traveling to and from non-Iranian ports through the Strait of Hormuz. #Gate现货衍生品双双冲进全球前三
